Royal Caribbean is mobilizing their cruise ships to provide immediate help to those who were affected by Hurricane Irma.
Hurricane Irma has impacted islands and communities from the Caribbean to Florida and beyond. Following the storm, Royal Caribbean has mobilized Adventure, Majesty and Empress of the Seas to provide immediate help with provisions and evacuation efforts. Their fleet of cruise ships will continue to assist with recovery in the weeks to come.
In the first few days of relief efforts, Royal Caribbean has been able to do the following:
- Evacuate 1,700 people
- Drop off 5,539 gallons of water
- 20+ pallets of medical supplies
- 13,050 pounds of animal supplies
- 7,831 gallons of milk
- 67,500 garbage bags
- 4,200 rolls of toilet paper
- 6,270 pounds of ice
- 39 animals rescued
- 3,655 employees mobilized for humanitarian efforts
Royal Caribbean is also matching donations up to $1 million to aid Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
