Carnival Cruise Line Updating WiFi Service

Carnival Cruise Line is updating their WiFi service on their cruise ships and the option to pre-purchase internet will be on all 25 of Carnival’s Funships by the summer.

Starting April 19th, Carnival will offer the option to pre-purchase an internet plan on Carnival Vista and Carnival Fascination by accessing ‘Manage My Booking’ on carnival.com. Guests may select any plan for the cruise duration. The option to pre-purchase will be available fleet wide by mid-summer.

The WiFi plans offered by Carnival that can be purchased for either a 24 hour period or for the entire cruise at a discounted rate are:

  • Social ($5 USD per day) – Access the most popular websites and applications. Includes access to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and the most popular airline websites. Note: Does not include in-app calling, Facetime, Snapchat, iMessage or access to any other websites or apps.
  • Value ($16 USD per day) – Provides access to all your favorite sites and apps, including social media, e-mail, news, sports, weather, banking and more. Note: Does not support Skype calling or music streaming (such as Spotify).
  • Premium ($25 USD per day) – Our Premium plan promises the fastest possible connection, at speeds up to 3 times faster than our Value Plan, where coverage allows. Includes access to all websites and apps, including streaming services and supports Skype video calling, where coverage allows.

Note: On the Carnival Glory, Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Triumph, Carnival only offers the option to purchase the Social Plan for the entire length of the cruise ($5 USD per day, per cruise duration).

Passengers may easily upgrade from one plan to another. They can use multiple devices per plan including our onboard computers, but may only use one device at a time. All plans exclude video streaming (such as Netflix or Hulu). Cellular-network-dependent WiFi Calling and Facetime services are also not supported at this time. Printing is offered at no charge.

To select the plan that best suits your needs, simply purchase a plan once you are onboard. Currently, for several ships, you can purchase an internet plan (for the cruise duration) before your cruise by accessing ‘Manage My Booking’ on Carnival.com.

  1. Will never cruise on Carnival again. No a/c in balcony suite. Elevators didn’t work most of the time. Buffet was worse than Golden Corra. Guest services line 45 minutes Everytime you needed anything.
