Carnival Cruise Ship Rescues 16 Migrants From Man-Made Raft

Carnival Glory rescued 16 migrants from a man-made raft this past weekend.raftThe cruise ship was returning to Miami near the end of a seven night cruise to the Western Caribbean when the migrants were spotted on a man-made raft. The United States Coast Guard was called and the 16 Cubans nationals were briefly brought on board.

They were given provisions (food, water, clothing) and then released to the United States Coast Guard. Carnival Glory then resumed course and arrived back in Miami as scheduled the following day. The cruise ship was on a seven night cruise to the Western Caribbean with port stops in Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Grand Cayman.
