A Carnival Cruise Line cruise ship is prominently featured in the premiere segment of a new educational series on the Science Channel called “How to Build…Everything”.
The show provides viewers with an irreverent and off-beat look at what it takes to construct a modern-day cruise ship, focusing on topics like the advantages of modular construction where pre-fabricated segments are built off-site and assembled in dry dock and innovative technical systems, including the Azipod propulsion system. The concepts of buoyancy and water displacement are also discussed by science and engineering experts in a fun, easy-to-understand way.
Carnival Miracle and its shipboard team take center stage to illustrate these various concepts, with the ship’s bridge, food and beverage venues, engine room and other below-deck spaces highlighted within the segment. You can watch the segment about Carnival Miracle in the video below. (It is the first segment of the show)
