Virgin Voyages, a new adults only cruise line, first ship will now debut next year after the cruise line made the decision to cancel all cruises in December. The cruise line had previously canceled all cruises through the end of November.
Virgin Voyages’ first cruise ship, Scarlet Lady, has been completed but has yet to sail a cruise from her home in Miami. The ship arrived in Miami this spring right as all cruises were shut down due to coronavirus.
Virgin Voyages sent out an email to travel agents telling them that the cruise line has now canceled all cruises in December.
Virgin’s maiden voyage will now take place in 2021. The cruise line expects their second cruise ship, Valiant Lady, to also debut next year.
Virgin Voyages will be an adults only cruise line with many extras included in cruise fares. Things included in cruise fares are all gratuities, WiFi, basic beverages, workout classes, and all dining venues.
Virgin Voyages will sail mostly short cruises from Miami to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. All cruises will include a stop at the cruise line’s private port in the Bahamas, Bimini Beach Club.
