At least two cruise lines including Carnival Cruise Line have canceled a handful of cruises that were scheduled to depart next week due to Hurricane Dorian.
Hurricane Dorian has been upgraded to a major hurricane and currently has maximum sustained winds of 115 mph.
While more cancellations are possible due to Hurricane Dorian, here is a list of cruises that have been officially canceled by cruise lines so far.
Carnival Cruise Line – Carnival has canceled the September 2 sailing on Carnival Liberty. The ship was originally scheduled for a four night cruise to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral. Carnival is giving passengers a full refund of their cruise fare and a refund of any pre-purchased items.
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line – Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line has canceled two cruises to the Bahamas. The September 1st and 3rd sailing on Grand Celebration have been canceled. Both cruises were two night sailings to Grand Bahama Island out of the Port of Palm Beach. Guests will receive full refunds on their cruise fares.
