InsureMyTrip.com, an authority when it comes to travel insurance, asked 3,602 U.S. travelers if they would board a cruise ship again once the pandemic wanes.

They survey was taken after the CDC changed their No Sail Order to a Conditional Sail Order that provides cruise lines with a path towards resuming cruises.

InsureMyTrip asked travelers if they would go on a cruise right now if the CDC approved the new safety and health guidelines cruise lines are proposing.  The results were as follows:

  • Yes – 22%
  • Probably – 11%
  • Not Yet but in the future – 53%
  • Never – 13%

InsureMyTrip recommends cruisers consider travel insurance with the Cancel For Any Reason coverage to best guard against covered COVID-19 related travel concerns.
