Crystal, one of the leading luxury cruise lines in the world, is building their first new cruise ships in 25 years.
This morning, the company announced that the start of construction on the first of these new ships will take place in May 2026, when the first piece of steel is cut.
The keel of the ship is currently scheduled to be laid in December 2026, marking the official start of construction when the blocks begin to be put together.
While the name of the ship has yet to be announced, Crystal said that it will be announced shortly, along with details on its inaugural voyage and new suite categories.
The ship is scheduled to debut in 2028 and cruises will open for bookings in the spring of 2026.
Crystal Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, said the following about these new cruise ships:
“Behind the scenes, our teams have been working diligently on every element of this extraordinary project, from design and craftsmanship to technical innovation. These milestones represent more than construction progress; they are a testament to our shared commitment with Fincantieri to deliver the most exceptional ship at sea, on schedule and with an unparalleled attention to detail.”
