Royal Caribbean’s New Ships: The Sunshine Class

If you already like the class of ships that Royal Caribbean offers then you are going to love the news about the new ships the cruise line will be offering soon: Royal Caribbean Making Sunshine Class Cruise Ships.

Royal Caribbean currently has several classes of ship including the Vision class, Sovereign class, Radiance class, Freedom Class, Voyager class, and of course the Oasis class.  Royal Caribbean has also owns The Allure of the Seas (Oasis Class) which is currently the world’s largest cruise ship. The new ships are being built under the name of Sunshine Class, a brand new class built for Royal Caribbean. The first ship will be completed in the Fall of 2014 and the second in the Spring of 2015.

In 2012 the German shipbuilder Meyer Werft was contracted to construct both vessels. Both ships will be 158,000 tons and will accommodate up to 4100 guests. The ships will be the second largest in Royal Caribbean’s passenger ship lineup. Royal Caribbean also has an option to build a third ship (we can only hope).

Royal Caribbean offers cruises around the world including Alaska. They also own private islands in the Bahamas and in Haiti. These private islands are usually stops during their Caribbean cruises. The new sunshine class ships are rumored to be able to include world-wide destinations in their itinerary.

Current Royal Caribbean ships offer a variety of entertainment options including rock climbing, ice skating and even surfing. If you’d rather relax you can go to the spa for the royal treatment or simply relax by the pool.

Dining on a Royal Caribbean ship can be casual or elegant and about everything in between. You can choose when and where you prefer to eat and food is always available. Most dining is included in your cruise price.

Entertainment varies from Broadway shows to ice skating extravaganzas. The Sunshine class of ships are sure to offer Royal Caribbean’s high standard for entertainment. From bars to Broadway shows, you can find your brand of entertainment on a Royal Caribbean ship and the Sunshine class is sure to carry on that tradition.

The project sunshine ships are designed to give passengers more bang for their buck, allowing for a little more crowded ship but better fuel efficiency per individual. The ships are sure to have something for everybody, from grand scenery to small private settings. You can enjoy for adrenaline packed activities or just relax and be pampered in the spa or by the pool. The ships are being designed with families in mind and the itinerary is rumored to be more relaxed with several options available. The CEO of Royal Caribbean indicates the new ships will include brand new ideas for entertainment and will include the best ideas from their existing ships.

Unfortunately, Royal Caribbean is a little secretive about the details of their new Sunshine Ships cruise line, but judging from their other vessels the ships are sure to be a great cruise value and have top of the line entertainment.

Royal Caribbean is the second largest cruise company in the world. They’re known for their luxurious ships. The company is based in Norway and the United States.     I WISH THAT ALL THE RCCL SHIPS NOW AND IN THE FUTURE WILL HAVE THEM. WHEN WE
    TRAVEL ON A TRANSATLANTIC AND HAVE 7 SEA DAYS IT IS WONDERFUL TO HAVE
    THE PROMENADE TO VISIT WHENEVER WE WANT.

  2. Do the existing ships have a redundancy built into the ship? If not, will the new ships have this redundancy in case the power plant is knocked out like the carnival triumph was?
