Renting a Tuxedo with Carnival Cruise Lines

cruise rental tuxedosIt’s always a lot of fun for passengers to get all dressed up for formal night on cruise ships, but the biggest pain is trying to pack that fancy suit or tuxedo.  It means you have to bring a garment bag and still your suit or tuxedo will need to have all of the wrinkles ironed out of it.  Fortunately, there is a better way of getting dressed up for formal night on Carnival cruise ships that means you don’t have to pack your own tuxedo.

Carnival offers a wide variety of formal wear options including cuff links, dress shoes, suspenders, vests, jackets, trousers, ties, socks, and even pocket squares.  But since each of these extra items will cost you more to rent, I recommend bringing your own tie, shoes, and dress shirt, and just renting the tuxedo or suit jacket and pants.  After all, you can always cram an extra pair of dress socks into your suit case, and if you don’t have any cuff links you can get them for about the same price as renting them, which is abut $25 from Carnival.

How much does it cost to rent formal wear from Carnival?

Here are some of the prices as it stands right now.  But you should know that each cruise ship may have different prices and these prices can change at any time.  This is only meant to give you an idea of what it will cost you to rent your formal wear with Carnival:

Some of the vests come free with your tuxedo rental, so the price above is for some of the higher end style vests.

So how do you rent a tuxedo or suit from Carnival?

First, you should know that you need to rent your formal wear at least 2 weeks prior to your sailing date, and you should also have all of your measurements ready when you call them.  If you do not have your measurements there is a form on the Carnival website that you can take with you to a tailor to make sure you get all of the right measurements.

Then you need to call 1-800-522-7648 to place your order.  They may not have all of the styles or sizes you are looking for so calling earlier in advance will help to make sure you can reserve the tuxedo you want.  On your cruise ship the formal wear should be delivered to your door on the first night of the cruise, but if it’s not it’s always a good idea to ask guest relations about it.
