Dealchecker, the United Kingdom based travel deals specialist, this year released and an exciting, all-new cruise holiday search platform that promises to provide users with the perfect way of booking their next vacation.
This project goes by the name of ‘Cruise Plotter’, and is an interactive map that features deals on thousands of cruises to over 200 international locations. The map format of the Cruise Plotter, which focuses specifically on various cities and ports around the world, helps to reveal the vast number of options now available to both experienced cruisers, as well as those people looking to embark on their first ever cruise holiday.
The Cruise Plotter offers users the opportunity to compare cruise itineraries based on the city they select from the map – allowing them to quickly find that perfect cruise to a location they have always wanted to visit. With Cruise Plotter, holiday goers are no longer limited to finding a cruise based on searching by a wider region, or looking at a specific ship.
For example, say a particular holiday goer was interested in a cruise that visited Spain. Within a few clicks, they would be able to find that there are over 5,000 cruise itineraries that travel to various cities on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. At a glance, they would be able to see that there are over 3,000 cruises that feature Barcelona in their itineraries – whilst Malaga is featured in close to 500 cruise itineraries.
Once users have decided on a specific location that they would like to visit while on their cruise, results can be filtered by price, cruise duration, date and cruise line in order to find their perfect holiday itinerary.
Currently, Cruise Plotter features four Dealchecker cruise partners: Iglu, Imagine Cruising, Cruise.co.uk and BAway. More are expected to get on board soon – adding even more choice for prospective cruisers.
Mark Atwell, managing director at Dealchecker is proud of the new holiday opportunities that Cruise Plotter will bring to holiday makers, stating:
“Cruise Plotter enables deal checkers to search for cruise in a more granular way, rather than just limiting them to a region or ship. The interactive map is fun, inspirational and offers a more instinctive search facility, enticing more of them to book with our partners.
We hope to encourage more cruise partners on-board soon. This is a great way to get product online and a good fit for cruise companies of all shapes and sizes.“
