Looking for the best cruise search engine online? Who doesn’t want an awesome deal on a cruise, right?
Well using a cruise search engine is a great way to find a last minute deal or clearance special. In fact, I always recommend checking out one of these sites before booking a vacation directly through a cruise line.
You might find a better deal at a different port or with a different cruise line, or you might even find a cruise that was for an extra couple days and costs less than the one you were looking at.
Some of the most common cruise search engines are: (Click the links to check them out. Links open in new tab)
- Priceline – (last minute cruises)
- Expedia – (expedia’s last minute cruise deals)
- Travelocity
- Cruise Direct
Since no one wants to over pay for a cruise vacation a lot of people look for deals on cruise line sites, travel sites, search engines, and with their travel agents to try to find the best possible deal for the best possible price.
The cool thing about a cruise search engine is that you can search a wide variety of cruise lines at one time. You may even be surprised to find out that there is a great deal from a cruise line that you didn’t even know existed.
You can search for a cruise by several different criterion including the following:
- Search by Cruiseline
- Search by Date
- Search by Destination
- Search by Port
Hidden Costs
Don’t forget that when you see the price on those cruise deals often they leave out those pesky little fees. These fees can add up with port fees, taxes, and other optional charges. You can read more about cruise fees here.
You will also want to consider the cost of tipping which is pretty standard on any cruise line. The recommendations for tipping can vary but can range anywhere from $10 a day to $20. A lot of that depends on your room and whether you are staying in a regular stateroom or a suite.
