I thought all of you might enjoy some pictures I took during a recent cruise on the Celebrity Constellation. These were all taken with my Nikon D7000 with a tripod and very slow shutter speeds so I could capture the lightning as it was striking.
This was a great lightning show and I wish I could have captured all the lightning bolts from that “live entertainment” that night. There’s nothing like enjoying a warm breeze on a cruise ship while enjoying a spectacular show. I’m just glad this was a moderately calm storm and the ship was not rocking too much.
I also took some video of the lightning storm. The lightning started up around dinner time, so a group had gathered at the back of the buffet where it was open to the sea, and we all enjoyed a spectacular natural event.
