Message in a Bottle Thrown off Carnival Cruise Ship Found Years Later

Years ago, passengers on Carnival Cruise Line and other cruise lines would write messages in a bottle and throw them overboard. They would do this in hope that someone would find the message and write them back from a distant land.

Cruise lines ended this practice over 10 years ago as throwing anything off the side of cruise ships is no longer allowed.  Whatever happened to most of the bottles?

Yesterday, Jace Tunnell from Corpus Christi Texas found two messages in a bottle from Carnival Cruise Line.    While the sun bleached the letter and made it illegible, he was able to read who wrote the message.

It was from Jan and Matt Richardson from Cedar Park, Texas.  They threw the bottle off a Carnival cruise ship over 10 years ago.

Jace posted the following message on Facebook showing photos of the bottles and messages:

If you know a Jana and Matt Richardson from Cedar Park, Texas, let them know that their message has finally been found.
