A Celebrity cruise ship, Celebrity Infinity, crashed into a dock on Friday afternoon in Ketchikan, Alaska. The incident was caught on video by Maria Harvey and you can watch an edited clip of the ship crashing into the dock in the video below. Video is courtesy of KTVA Alaska. The incident happened at approximately 2-2:30 pm local time and several media outlets are reporting that there were no injuries. However, the ship did receive minor damage but remains seaworthy. The cruise ship left Ketchikan shortly after midnight to return to Vancouver. High winds at the time of docking were blamed for the accident.
Celebrity Infinity is currently on a seven night Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver with Ketchikan being the last port stop of the cruise. Other port visited on the cruise included Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, and Juneau. Cruise Fever will have all updates when more information becomes available.
