2020 is promising to be an exciting year for the cruise industry as two new cruise lines will begin offering cruises including the highly anticipated Virgin Voyages.
Here is a look at the two new cruise lines that are setting sail for the first time in next year.
Virgin Voyages
Scarlet Lady will be the first of four cruise ships from Virgin Voyages. The ship will sail from the Cruise Capital of the World, PortMiami, and offer four and five night adults only cruises to the Caribbean. (Take a Sneak Peek at the ship)
93% of all cabins on the cruise ship will offer an ocean view with 86% featuring their own private terrace.
There will be no nickel-and-diming on board. Cruise fares will include many extras that other cruise lines charge for.
Gratuities or tips, whichever you like to call them, will be included in the price of your cruise. This means that your onboard account will not be charged a daily service fee.
Unlimited WiFi will come at no extra charge. For those who want the ability to stream, you will be able to upgrade to a premium plan.

There will be no formal nights and no buffets or main dining rooms. There will be 20+ places to eat onboard Scarlet Lady and every single one of them is included in your cruise fare.
A highlight of the cruises out of Miami on Scarlet Lady will be a stop at the Beach Club in Bimini. The Beach Club will be the cruise line’s “private port” in the Bahamas.
Virgin Voyages first sailing out of Miami will depart on April 1, 2020.
Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is poised to become the most coveted experience at sea. They are the first luxury hotel company to bring the ambiance of their resorts to the world of cruising. The inaugural voyage will take place on February 5, 2020 out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Each yacht will feature 149 suites, each with its own private terrace, and accommodate up to 298 guests in a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere. As with the Ritz-Carlton on land, each yacht will feature personalized service, elevated dining and luxury amenities. To provide the highest quality service, there will be nearly as many staff members as guests.
All-inclusive fares will include:
- All-suite oceanview accommodations, each with private terrace
- Dedicated Personal Assistant attending each suite
- Onboard gratuities
- Multiple dining venues
- 24-hour in-suite dining
- Beverages in-suite and throughout the yacht
- Onboard entertainment and enrichment
- Wi-Fi
- Marina-style platform with access to watersports
The onboard experience will reflect the sublime comfort and unparalleled level of individualized guest service for which the iconic Ritz-Carlton brand is recognized, with one of the highest staff to guest service ratios in the cruise industry.
Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has announced that they will have a fleet of three ships. No timetables have been currently given for the second and third vessels.
