First Look Inside Carnival Cruise Line’s New Cruise Ship

Yesterday, Carnival Cruise Line took delivery of their newest cruise ship, Mardi Gras. At 180,000 gross tons, Mardi Gras is the largest cruise ship to enter Carnival’s fleet.

Carnival Cruise Line gave us a sneak peek look inside Mardi Gras.  Previously, the cruise line released photos of BOLT, the world’s first cruise ship roller coaster that travels around the top deck of the vessel. View Top Cruises on Mardi Gras

Here are a few photos giving us the first sneak peek inside Carnival Cruise Line’s new flagship that will debut in four months.

World-renowned Chef and restaurateur Emeril Lagasse will open his first seagoing restaurant on Mardi Gras. Emeril’s Bistro will be located in the heart of the ship’s French Quarter and will showcase the chef’s signature dishes that earned him the reputation as one of New Orleans’ most acclaimed and respected chefs.

No Carnival cruise ship is complete without the popular Alchemy Bar.

Cucina del Capitano will be the Italian restaurant on board Mardi Gras. Carnival added a classic Fiat outside the eatery.

Mardi Gras features a three story atrium called Grand Central that will be the heartbeat of the cruise ship. During the day, Grand Central serves as a relaxing spot for guests to enjoy a coffee, drink or light fare, people watch, listen to live music, or partake in trivia contests and other leisurely pursuits.

At night, Grand Central transforms into an intimate and immersive venue with a rotation of spectacular, soon-to-be-revealed experiences created just for Mardi Gras. Talented performers will interact with 16 individually controlled six- by 14-foot LED screens displaying video and special effects, as well as lasers and aerial feats to create a truly unforgettable entertainment experience.

The Watering Hole will be a bar on an outside deck on the ship.

Mardi Gras will also feature a mini-golf course that will have the roller coaster track going around it.

No Carnival cruise ship is complete without a Waterworks water park on the top deck. There is an area for kids and waterslides that will keep you cool as you cruise throughout the Caribbean.

Mardi Gras is currently scheduled to enter service in April 2021. The cruise ship will sail out of Port Canaveral, Florida and offer week long cruises to the Western and Eastern Caribbean.  View Top Cruises on Mardi Gras
