Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Believe, has already sold out its maiden voyage. And this is before the general public even had a chance to book the ship’s first sailing.

We’re still four days away from October 19. This is the date that Disney Believe’s maiden voyage becomes available to the general public. First dibs were given to Pearl Castaway Club Members on October 12, and then on to Platinum, Gold, and Silver over the next three days.
But according to the Disney fan site Blog Mickey, the December 18, 2027, inaugural sailing officially sold out yesterday morning (October 14).
About the Maiden Voyage
The inaugural sailing on the fourth Wish-class ship is a 5-night Bahamian cruise set to depart from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 18, 2027.
The itinerary will visit Nassau as well as both of Disney’s private island destinations: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
How Did It Sell Out So Fast?
Disney Cruise Line rolls out booking dates in tiered access groups based on Castaway Club loyalty status before opening reservations to everyone else. This way the most loyal of Disney cruisers get the first chance to sail the newest ships.
This was the tiered access booking window for Disney Believe:
- October 12, 2026: Pearl Members
- October 13, 2026: Platinum Members
- October 14, 2026: Gold Members
- October 15, 2026: Silver Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Adventure Insiders
- October 19, 2026: General Public
There’s a lot of hype around this ship, and a lot of people want to be among the first to check her out and post videos and images online.
But demand was so high among returning Disney cruisers that staterooms filled up really fast during the early presale window.
All room categories on Disney’s live reservation system filled up during the Castaway Club early booking window, which reached full capacity on Gold Member day before Silver members or general public bookings even opened.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line’s website shows “Coming Soon!” for general booking, with a Verandah price of $8,244 for two guests on the 5-night sailing.
What Options Are Left for Cruisers?
If you missed out on the inaugural December 18, 2027 departure, you still have options:
- Inaugural Season Sailings: Bookings for the remainder of the Disney Believe’s inaugural season open to the general public on October 19, 2026.
- Disney Vacation Club “First Wave”: DVC members can book a special 5-night “First Wave” sailing departing January 5, 2028, with booking opening November 21, 2026.
- Cancellations: Staterooms sometimes open up closer to the sail date as guests reach deposit and final payment deadlines, but for a maiden cruise like this, it’s a lot more unlikely to happen unless someone has a last-minute emergency.
