Norwegian Epic was headed back to Port Canaveral on the last night of a four night cruise when the unidentified passenger went overboard.  The passenger was quickly rescued by crew members and taken to the ship’s medical facility for evaluation where they were listed in stable condition.

The reason and cause of the passenger going overboard is unknown at this time.  The cruise ship returned to Port Canaveral this morning as scheduled.

Norwegian Epic, the only cruise ship in its class, currently sails three and four night cruises from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas with port stops in Nassau and the cruise line’s private island Great Stirrup Cay.  In early April, the ship will re-position to the Mediterranean and sail cruises to Europe from Barcelona and Civitavecchia.
