Demolition started this week on Terminal G by Lemartec-NV2A, the same company that built Norwegian Cruise Line’s Terminal B at PortMiami.

This new world-class terminal will be able to accommodate up to 7,000 passengers a day with efficient embarkation and disembarkation.

The multi-level terminal will strategically separate passenger flow by floor to help reduce congestion for cruises departing from the ship and those arriving for their cruise.

A multi-story parking garage will also be built with ground-level bus parking and designated passenger drop-off areas.

The new cruise terminal is targeting LEED Silver certification, underscoring the joint venture’s commitment to building sustainable, high-performance infrastructure for the future.

The terminal will be used by Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea cruise ships.

This will be the second cruise terminal at PortMiami for Royal Caribbean Group. The first, Terminal A, opened in November 2018.

Terminal G was originally built in 1999 to accommodate Royal Caribbean’s Voyage of the Seas and is one of the oldest cruise terminals in Miami.
