I had the privilege of being aboard Celebrity Summit after it’s 31 day transformation. From the moment I boarded the cruise ship I knew she was something special. From the small, intimate spaces to the light, airy decor, I couldn’t help but feel comfortable and relaxed every moment of my time on board.
There are no spaces that feel too busy or overbearing. Every part of the ship is designed to give you a place to relax and feel at home while enjoying beautiful views of the ocean as you sail to your next destination. From the pool deck with it’s four hot tubs to the Grand Foyer with Coffee Shop, Gelato, and live music there is always a place to go and something to do.
The staterooms went down to the steel for a complete revitalization. In keeping with the rest of the ship, the rooms are light and natural. The results are a comfortable, bright space that gives guests the perfect place to relax and rest after a long day (and night) of fun.
As far as entertainment goes, this is a class all it’s own. There seems to be something for everyone on this ship. If you’re a ballet lover you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful performances from the American Ballet Theatre.
If music is your forte then you may enjoy a performance such as December ’63, a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Of course, there are many other options of entertainment as well such as a live band or DJ, found throughout the ship.

When looking for a place to relax and enjoy time with friends before or after dinner you can enjoy the intimate Rendezvous Lounge. It’s the perfect place to sit back with your favorite drink and listen to live music.
I’m sure we can all agree on one thing, dining is a very important part of cruising. That being the case, Celebrity Summit does not disappoint. There is plenty of variety and options throughout the ship to fulfill your cravings.
The Spa Cafe offers the perfect, light snack or lunch when you want something quick so you can get back to relaxing by the pool. I personally loved the Caprese Salad.
At the Oceanview Cafe and Grill buffet you will find a perfect variety for when you’re just not sure what you’re in the mood for and has clear labels with symbols for 4 main food allergies to let you know what is safe if you have something to avoid like me.
If your particular allergy or sensitivity is not listed you can always ask the staff and they will check with the chef to inform you what is safe for you to eat.
For those who love sit down dining you have the Cosmopolitan Restaurant which is large and bright with a beautiful floor to ceiling window with a view. Of course, if you want to splurge you also have specialty dining options such as the Tuscan Grill where you can go for a taste of Italy. Who doesn’t love a good Italian pasta dish? And don’t forget about Sushi on Five for you sushi lovers out there.
Note: I was a guest of Celebrity Cruises on Celebrity Summit but opinions in this article are 100% my own.
