Celebrity Cruises has now completely canceled their 2020 Alaska season as well as Canada/New England sailings between August 1st and October 31st, 2020.
Celebrity Cruises said that these new cancellations were consequences of the coronavirus pandemic that inflicted unexpected consequences on their communities and businesses. The Government of Canada has recently announced continued port closures for all cruise ships through October 31st, 2020.
In order to comply with these closures, Celebrity Cruises has canceled all Alaska and Canada/New England cruises during this time frame.
The cruise line is offering compensation for anyone who was booked on one of the newly canceled cruises. Guests will have the option of three different compensation plans.
The three compensation plans being offered by Celebrity Cruises are:
- 100% full refund
- 125% future cruise credit to use on a sailing on or before December 31, 2021.
- Move your booking to a sailing in 2021. Your cruise fare price and promotion will be protected when selecting an alternative sailing of the same itinerary type, ship series, cruise length, and stateroom category.
For complete details on compensation plans, contact the travel agent that you booked through or contact Celebrity Cruises if you booked directly through the cruise line.
