Carnival Freedom returned to service today and is once again sporting Carnival Cruise Line’s iconic funnel. The ship received a new funnel during the 16 day dry dock where the vessel received general maintenance and a few new features.

Among the new features added to Carnival Freedom are a new Heroes Tribute Bar and a Dreams Studio. Heroes Tribute Bar is featured on many Carnival cruise ships and honors active and retired members of the military.

In addition to Dreams and Heroes, the cruise ship’s casino was expanded and all cabins and public areas of the ship were upgraded and renovated. Carnival Freedom also received the cruise line’s new red, white, and blue livery.

Additions to the casino are four additional banks of slots on the other side of the promenade walkway. Slots on the main casino floor now have more spacing so this area is now ADA accessible.  Half of the casino remains non-smoking and there are now new Galaxy tables that have a progressive jackpot of $200,000.

Carnival Freedom will now sail a 14 night cruise from Barcelona to Port Canaveral, Florida. The cruise ship will visit Malaga, Valencia, the Canary Islands, and Bermuda before arriving in Florida.

Once in Florida, the cruise ship will offer a variety of four and five night cruises to The Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean.

Carnival Freedom will visit Celebration Key starting in 2025. Celebration Key is a new port destination being built in The Bahamas specifically for Carnival cruise ships.

Carnival Freedom is a 2,980 passenger Conquest class ship that entered service in 2007. This is the fourth time that the ship has gone into dry dock and the first time in 4 1/2 years.
