Carnival Cruise Line Rolls Out New TV Channel Lineup in Cruise Ship Staterooms

Carnival Cruise Line has rolled out a new TV channel lineup in staterooms for all cruise ships that are operating in North America.
The new TV lineup on Carnival cruise ships will feature popular channels such as the Travel Channel, Discovery, HGTV, the Food Network, Nickelodeon, and CBS National News. The TVs will also have a movie channel and original Carnival content.

Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador John Heald posted the following message on his Facebook page detailing the new TV lineup that was to go into effect this week on Carnival cruise ships:

“I’ve had a few guests comment on the TV programming changes we are making onboard. We’ve been updating our systems and the new package of channels should be effective by Friday across the North American fleet.

All guests sailing on Carnival ships operating in North America will enjoy a great new lineup of complimentary in-stateroom TV. The new lineup will include popular, top-rated network channels such as HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and Discovery. For our younger guest we now offer Nickelodeon which is the number one entertainment channel for kids.

For 3-7 age category we have added Kids Central with age appropriate programming available at all times, day and night.

The news source will be a CBS National News channel that I’m told will broadcast programs providing original reporting, interviews and breaking news 24 hours a day. Some channels have been removed to allow for the transmission of these new channels. Your complimentary movie channel, our original Carnival content as well as the sports programming at our bars will remain unchanged at this time.

We also hope to add a second complimentary movie channel to in-stateroom TV sometime in the near future.”

  1. My husband does not like to cruise due to limited TV channel on Carnival TV programs. Hope this will please him so that we can cruise more. Good job Carnival. One more request: Can we have Mongolian Wok more than 3 hours time frame and on every ship?

  2. I remember that up until Jan,2018, Carnival had NBC,CBS,ABC, FOX available. It was nice to come back to cabin at night & turn TV on & watch news & late night TV before calling it a night, also was on cruise last year during super bowl but no TV coverage in the cabin, only available in smoke filled casino, was supposed to be on big screen on Lido but it was raining, & didn’t offer it in theater. I would pay extra to be able to get some channels especially if not feeling good for a day.
