Carnival Cruise Line has canceled the next three weeks of sailings on Carnival Fascination out of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Carnival said that the reason for the cancellations is due damage caused from Hurricane Maria to the terminal that Carnival uses. The assessment is still in progress but it now appears that it will take several weeks to make the necessary repairs. The following sailings have been canceled on Carnival Fascination:
San Juan Departures
- September 24
- October 1
- October 8
Barbados Departures
- September 27
- October 4
- October 11
For all canceled cruises, a full refund will be automatically processed, including Fly2Fun reservations, pre-purchased Carnival Adventures, Fun Shop purchases and beverage packages. The refund will be processed to the original form of payment.
For guests who are currently on Carnival Fascination, the ship will attempt to dock if the port reopens. Guests will have the opportunity to disembark in San Juan or stay on the ship until it arrives Miami.
The ship is scheduled to arrive in Miami on Tuesday evening and depart on Wednesday.
Carnival Cruise Line is working with airlines to assist passengers regarding a waiver of change fees for those booked their own air.
