Blue World Voyages, the first cruise line dedicated 100% to active, healthy lifestyles, is adding more muscle to its fitness focus and bold concept for Active Lifestyle Cruising.
The company has solidified a partnership agreement with Oxygen magazine, the top media source for health-conscious, active women who live and breathe fitness. The announcement was made today by Gene Meehan, Blue World Voyages’ co-founder and chairman.
John B. Richards, Blue World CEO and former president of Starbucks says, “Oxygen’s mission statement — Train Smart. Eat Right. Be Strong. — confirms that we share the same philosophy and mindset.” He adds, “There is nothing like Blue World Voyages in the global cruise industry today. Breaking from the traditional cruise vacation model, fitness and well-being are not add-ons; they are embedded into every aspect of the company and the vessels, from the onboard programs and menus (farm-/sea-to-table) to itineraries and shore excursions.”
Blue World Voyages is set to launch in mid-2019 and has plans to release a fleet of three cruise ships over the next five years. The company is downsizing an existing 900-passenger ship to accommodate only 350 guests, offering generous staterooms and larger public spaces.
Several industry firsts will debut with Blue World’s introductory vessel, including the first bow-to-stern sports deck at sea, which is outfitted with golf and soccer simulators, batting cages, a functional training center, yoga, Spinning studios and much more. There is also a full-deck spa, and amenities include a relaxing therapy tub, spa pool, indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, and a solarium. For an extraordinary experience, 12 private Bali beds provide passengers the option to sleep under the stars and wake up to a butler-served breakfast.
The Blue World’s partnership with Oxygen magazine calls for two fitness and health voyages a year exclusively for the Oxygen readership community. Readers are invited to register for updates on the voyages and receive a $150 onboard credit any time they sail. Details can be found at https://www.blueworldvoyages.
