  1. wait a minute, just think about it for a moment when you stay at a Hotel even if you pay for staying there a night don’t you have to pay for room service? Yes you do, plus tax plus tip plus the price of the food……it is convenience, how hard is it to go to the buffet and get your food and bring it back on your balcony…..yeez people take a chill pill……if you don’t want to cruise NCL anymore because of that, good stay away more room for the rest of us………or do like us and book a Suite in the Haven and get all the perks you could ever want.

  2. I like room service for morning coffee every day and for breakfast on early port days. So it sounds like Norwegian would charge a $7.95 convenience charge (per day? per person?) for that even if I didn’t order anything from the enhanced menu…. Used to cruise with Norwegian but haven’t for years mostly because of the dining policies and options.

  3. I cruise extensively and this is a Disgrace to charge for room service. I sailed on the Breakaway 2-nighter and I love room service I called to make my order and they told me on the short cruises they don’t have room service only for pizza and that’s a $5.00 surcharge. That’s a Disgrace. No more NCL for me

  4. Daily service charges were just increased from $12.00 per person to $12.95 per person as of March 1st. We just returned from a cruise which we ordered room revive nearly every morning just for coffee. We enjoy our coffee in the morning before getting dressed and ready for the day and all though our cabin had a small coffee maker, our cabin Stewart rarely replaced the coffee or only left us decaf. It’s robbery to charge an extra fee for room service.

  5. We only cruise Norwegian…however this is the “nickel and dime” move that breaks our exclusivity! We have one more cruise with them then we’ll be moving on to another cruiseline. Wrong move NCL

  6. I am not at all surprised that Norwegian has thought of yet another way to extract extra money from its passengers. I have cruised extensively and the first and only cruise I will ever take on Norwegian was two years ago on the Breakaway. I way extremely disappointed in the cruise because at every turn, they were trying to extract more money for shows, certain nightclubs, and wine by pushing purchase of a whole bottle vs. a glass, stating it was a better deal. I have never, on any other cruise line experienced such blatant “nickel and diming” during a cruise.
Yes, all cruise lines offer specialty dining at an nominal extra charge, but Norwegian takes it to a whole new level. One cannot turn around without being asked or told that certain activities have an added surcharge.
I am not one bit surprised that they have now figured out a way to charge passengers for a room service menu that all other cruise lines consider reasonable and do not charge extra except for between certain middle-of-the-night hours.
I will never again cruise on Norwegian.

    • are you kidding me ???? we pay plenty……so don’t tell me that once again we don’t have to pay. We pay for what we are getting, when we pay $4000.00 per person I think we paid more then our fair share .

  7. I’m suppose to cruise on getaway September 26 which is my first cruise outside of Carnival cruises, Norwegian is already a bit more expensive and to know they are going to charge for room service is ridiculous, I think after this I’d rather stick with Carnival especially how they have the most ships and are getting new ones!
