Virgin Voyages Will Sail 4 and 5 Night Cruises to the Caribbean

Virgin Voyages, the new adults only cruise line that will debut in 2020, has announced four and five night itineraries from the Cruise Capital of the World, PortMiami. The itineraries will include extended port stops with late night sailaways and even overnight stays.

Virgin’s first of four cruise ships, Scarlet Lady, will carry 2,770 sailors and 1,160 crew members. Up until this point, the cruise line has been quiet itineraries about that will be offered.  They did announce a few months ago that select itineraries will overnight in Havana, Cuba.

While dates and some itineraries have yet to be announced, here are the itineraries that Virgin Voyages has just announced:

  • Four night cruises to Cuba with an overnight in Havana
  • Five night cruises to Cuba with an overnight in Havana
  • Five night “Mayan Sol” sailings with a stop in Costa Maya, Mexico
  • Five night “Dominican Daze” sailings with a stop in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Sailors will also have more time to explore in each place, with extended port hours and an overnight stay or a late-night sail away on all voyages. Details about an additional destination for all sailings will soon be released.

Sailors will carve their own paths in places like Costa Maya where they can explore the ancient Mayan ruins, experience luscious jungles, visit the Great Maya Reef or make their way through top tier restaurants and clubs on the beach. While in Puerto Plata, they might hang ten at surf school then cable car up a mountain, only to end the day rowing a kayak through canyons.

The overnight stay in Cuba will guide Sailors on an exploration through Old Havana alongside the historic cars and architecture. While there, Sailors will get a taste for the delectable cuisine, salsa dance the night away or even join a people-to-people cultural exchange for an up close and personal view on Cuban life.

Virgin Voyages is promising to offer an experience unlike anything else at sea.

There won’t be any formal nights, assigned seating for dinner, or forced gratuities.  Did we mention that there will be no nickel and diming on board?  You can everything you won’t find on Virgin’s first cruise ship here.

All dining venues will be included in cruise fares.  There will be 20 different options that include everything from a steakhouse to a Korean BBQ.
