Virgin Voyages have given new start dates on when they now plan on starting cruises on their two brand new cruise ships.
Virgin said that based on the best information that they have, they are looking at Scarlet Lady starting to sail from Miami on May 9, 2021. Her sister ship, Valiant Lady, will begin offering cruises on November 14, 2021.
The cruise line said that they are trying to be realistic with operating requirements, ongoing travel restrictions, and shipyard construction delays for Valiant Lady. The new dates are also to help reduce the impact of booking and rebooking cruises due to the current health situation.
Virgin Voyages had previously canceled cruises on Scarlet Lady through the end of February. Valiant Lady was originally scheduled to debut late this spring.
Those who were booked on one of the canceled cruises can receive a full refund or choose the cruise line’s FVC option for a later cruise.
Virgin Voyages has yet to sail an official cruise but has one cruise ship completely finished and two more under construction. They have also cut the first piece of steel on their 4th cruise ship.
The cruise line also recently started construction on their brand new Terminal V at the Cruise Capital of the World, PortMiami.
