US News and World Report, the global authority in consumer advice and rankings, has announced the best cruise lines for 2018.
US News evaluated 165 cruise ships on 17 cruise lines across six categories to come up with their list of best cruise lines. This was an increase from 15 cruise lines that US News evaluated last year. Viking Ocean Cruises and Seabourn Cruise Line were added to the rankings due to the popularity in small ship luxury cruising.
How exactly did US News come up with their list of best cruise lines?
The methodology for the best cruise lines rankings factors in expert evaluations of cruise ship quality, reputation among travelers, results from health assessments conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other factors such as price class and itinerary offerings.
