Tropical Storm Franklin currently has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and is moving west towards Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula at 13 mph.

Disney Cruise Line has altered the itinerary for Disney Fantasy. The cruise ship spent a day at sea today bypassing a stop in Cozumel, Mexico.

Carnival Cruise Line also made a change due to the tropical storm. Carnival Breeze will sail a reverse itinerary and will now stop in Cozumel on Friday instead of tomorrow.

It is rare for cruise line to cancel a sailing due to a tropical storm or hurricane.  Since cruise ships are mobile, they are able to visit different ports and stay out of the path of any storms.  Read: What Happens if there is a Hurricane During My Cruise?

Cruise Fever will update this page if any other cruise itineraries change due to Tropical Storm Franklin.
