Star Trek: The Cruise and The 80s Cruise are both moving from 2021 to 2022 due to the current climate regarding cruises.
Star Trek: The Cruise will now sail from February 26-March 5, 2022 and The 80s Cruise will sail from March 5-12, 2022. Both will depart from Cape Canaveral, Florida and will take place aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Mariner of the Seas, which received a $120 million revitalization in 2018.
“The current climate regarding cruising creates too much uncertainty to sail as planned in 2021,” says Chris Hearing, Partner and Executive Director, Theme Cruises at Entertainment Cruise Productions. “After careful consideration, including consultation with our guests, artists and partners at Royal Caribbean, we have decided to postpone the 2021 sailings to 2022.”
Every one of the actors previously scheduled for the 2021 sailing of Star Trek: The Cruise will be onboard the 2022 cruise, including George Takei (“Sulu”) and Walter Koenig (“Chekov”) of The Original Series, along with a crew of stars who have appeared in every iteration of the Star Trek TV franchise spanning more than 50 years. Joining Takei and Koenig will be Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden, Denise Crosby, John de Lancie, Terry Farrell, Alexander Siddig, Nana Visitor, Max Grodénchik, Robert Picardo, Ethan Phillips, Garrett Wang, John Billingsley, Connor Trinneer, Anthony Montgomery and Anthony Rapp, with more to be added.
The ultimate immersive experience for Star Trek fans will depart from Port Canaveral, FL for Nassau, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico and St. Maarten from February 26–March 5, 2022. Special Star Trek-themed shows, events, activities and parties will take place every day and night, along with extraordinary performances by the iconic stars and opportunities to interact with them like nowhere else in the universe.
Cabin prices start at $1,600 per person, which includes admission to all performances, interviews, parties and meals. Visit www.StarTrekTheCruise.com, call (844-335-6515) or follow hashtag #StarTrekCruise, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for more information in the coming months.
