Royal Caribbean is testing a new mobile app on select cruise ships that is designed to transform the vacation experience.
The new app from the cruise line is being tested on their newest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas. Royal Caribbean said the app will eliminate normal travel friction and frustrations, ultimately allowing more time for adventure and exploration.
What exactly will this new app from Royal Caribbean do? It will tell you everything you need to know about the cruise you are on. From dining to entertainment, everything will be just a touch away.
Dining
With the Royal Caribbean app, you will be able to see all of the dining options available on the ship. Each restaurant will have the hours listed that they are open, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Prices will be displayed next to the specialty restaurants with a description of they type of food that is offered. There is also a button that you can press that shows you exactly where the restaurant is located on the ship. No more walking around getting lost.
Activities
From the kids clubs to the water slides and pools, all of the activities around the ship are listed on the app. Want to know the hours that the FlowRiders are open? It will all be listed in the app. There is also a button that shows you exactly where everything is located on the ship.
Spa
There’s no better way to pamper yourself while on a cruise than spending time in the spa. Royal Caribbean’s app has everything you need to know about the Vitality Spa including the hours they are open to the treatments that are available.
Excursions
While you can’t book shore excursions directly through the app, there is a section with information about excursions.
Entertainment
From the Aqua Theater to the after hours dance parties, everything going on around the ship is listed. This includes shows and movies, standup comedy, magic, and the Broadway shows.
