For the second time this year, Princess Cruises is raising Medallion shipping fees that cruisers pay to receive them ahead of their cruise.

Princess Cruises first raised Medallion shipping fees in March, when the price doubled for U.S residents and went up 67% for Canadians.
This latest increase, which went into effect today, was much smaller at just $2 each.
Starting today, August 20, 2026, the new Medallion shipping fees from Princess Cruises are as follows:
- U.S. shipping fee: $22
- Canada shipping fee: $27
The cruise line noted that all existing orders placed prior to August 20, 2026 will remain at the previous shipping fee. The updated fee only applies to new orders processed on or after August 20, 2026.

An order consists of one to four Medallions shipped under the same order number to the same address.
If guests within the same booking choose to ship Medallions to different addresses, or if orders are placed separately, shipping fees will apply per individual order.
Ocean Medallions replace traditional cruise key cards on Princess cruise ships. They allow cruisers to do everything from opening their cabin doors to ordering a drink at a bar.
Princess guests do have an option to get out of paying the shipping fee. They can choose to pick up their Medallion at the cruise terminal, instead of ordering it ahead of time, when they check in for their cruise on embarkation day.
Princess Cruises currently only ships Medallions to residents in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada.
