Princess Cruises Changing Deposit Policy in May

Princess Cruises is updating their deposit policy with the new changes going into effect on May 1, 2021.

Princess Standard Deposit Policy for North America (United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Bermuda) will expand to include additional tiers based on sailing length.

Princess Cruises’ new standard deposits for cruises booked on or after May 1, 2021 will be:

  • Cruises five days or less: $100 per person, $200 for suites
  • Cruises six to nine days: $250 per person, $500 for suites
  • Cruises 10 days and longer: $400 per person, $800 for suites
  • World Cruises: 30% of the cruise fare

In addition, there will be an upper berth deposit requirement for most voyages (some promotional offer exceptions may apply). This change aligns Princess’ Standard Deposit Policy with competitive cruise lines in the industry.

The new deposit policy does not impact the Cruise Sale Program and Welcome Home offer, and deposits under these programs will remain unchanged.
