Princess Cruises has announced that one of their cruise ships, Diamond Princess, has been completely disinfected and is no longer in quarantine.
Diamond Princess received a Level-3 deep cleaning of the entire vessel, the highest level of cleaning for a cruise ship. The Japanese Ministry of Health and CTEH both monitored and approved the process.
The cruise ship has been certified to sail and the quarantine has been lifted. There are no traces of COVID-19 onboard the vessel.
The cruise ship is currently at a shipyard by Yokohama Harbor for a refurbishment. During the refurbishment, the cruise ship will receive all new mattresses, lines, and toys. Work has also begun on a few planned technical projects.
