Cruise Lines Launching Four More New Mega Ships in 2019

In what has already been an exciting year for new cruise ships, cruise lines have another four new mega ships launching through the end of this year.

So far in 2019, Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, Viking, and Celebrity Cruises have all launched new cruise ships to rave reviews.  However, Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and MSC Cruises all have new mega ships debuting over the next few months.

Here is a look at the newest and best cruise ships that will debut later this year. The ships are listed by the date when they will begin offering cruises.

Sky Princess – The newest Royal class cruise ship from Princess Cruises, Sky Princess will feature sweeping vistas and the cruise line’s largest balcony at sea.  The cruise ship will have the first digitally enhanced escape room at sea and will also feature the cruise line’s Ocean Medallion.

Sky Princess will debut in October 2019.  After a handful of sailings in Europe, the cruise ship will head to Fort Lauderdale and offer seven night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.  View Prices on Cruises on Sky Princess

Norwegian Encore – Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest mega ship will be jammed packed with activities including a race track, an outdoor laser tag arena, a virtual reality theater, and water parks for adults and kids.  The cruise ship will also feature 34 venues for food and drinks.

Scheduled for delivery in fall 2019, Norwegian Encore will cruise out of Miami every Sunday and will offer seven-day cruises to the Eastern Caribbean, beginning with her first sailing on November 17, 2019, through April 19, 2020. MSC Grandiosa – MSC Cruises is taking their popular Meraviglia class ships and making them even bigger.  As the first of two Meraviglia Plus class ships, the vessel will not only be the largest in MSC’s fast growing fleet, but also the largest new cruise ship in 2019.

MSC Grandiosa will feature new shows from Cirque du Soleil at Sea and begin sailing in Europe in November.  View Prices on Cruises on MSC Cruises

Carnival Panorama – Carnival Cruise Line’s third and final Vista class ship, Carnival Panorama will homeport in Long Beach, California. The ship is scheduled to sail her first cruise on December 11, 2019.  Carnival Panorama will come in at 133,500 gross tons.

Carnival Panorama will feature the trampoline park at sea.
