At 133,500 gross tons, Carnival Horizon is the second Vista class ship from Carnival. The 3,974 passenger cruise ship will sail a combination of six and eight night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Miami. However, the ship will first a sail a quick two night cruise when the vessel arrives in Miami on September 20, 2018.
Carnival Horizon offers a number of unique innovations, including the first-ever Dr. Seuss WaterWorks aqua park, a new teppanyaki dining venue, and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse, a new BBQ restaurant offering mouth-watering favorites created by Food Network star Guy Fieri along with a four different kinds of craft beer brewed at a brewery on board.
Carnival Horizon also offers such popular Vista-class features as an IMAX Theatre, a groundbreaking bike-ride-in-the-sky attraction called SkyRide, the tropics-inspired Havana section with colorful staterooms and its own Cuban-themed bar and pool, and Family Harbor with extra-roomy accommodations and the Family Harbor Lounge.
Carnival Horizon is the 26th cruise ship in Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet. The cruise ship was christened earlier this year in New York.
