A Carnival Cruise Line ship has unveiled a new shopping experience that represents one of the most ambitious duty free store remodels on any Carnival ship to date.
Carnival Cruise Line has partnered with duty free partner Heinemann Americas Inc in what they hope will become a model for duty free shopping on cruise lines around the world. This new shopping experience is now open on Carnival Liberty.
In partnership Heinemann and Carnival Cruise Line redesigned the on-board shopping experience to offer a soothing environment inspired by the natural beauty of the Caribbean. Based on the needs and requests of on-board guests, they also made several exciting additions to the overall retail offerings.
For the first time in its nearly 50-year history, Carnival Cruise Line now offers products such as Shinola watches, Tiffany & Co fragrances, Dr. Jart Beauty and Coeur de Leon Jewelry, as well as liquor brands such as Bruno Mars’ Selva Rey Rum, Florida Craft Spirit TimberCreek Whiskey, Malfy Gin, and Jack Daniels Single Barrel Program – all of which are Heinemann exclusive liquor programs. The companies also carefully curated an expansion of key Carnival favorites such as watches from Tag Heuer, Tissot, Movado, and Invicta, Swarovski jewelry and Victoria’s Secret Fragrances.
The new shopping environment is staffed by some of the most talented sales associates at sea, who help bring the space to life for guests each and every day.
Carnival Liberty currently sails three and four night cruises to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral. The three night cruises stop in Nassau while there are two different itineraries for the four night cruises. Some four night cruises stop in Nassau and Freeport while others stop in Nassau and Princess Cays.
Both the three and four night cruises on Carnival Liberty have one sea day.
How about adding a mini-mart with basic toiletries (toothpaste, deodorant, feminine supplies), cheap toys for kids to use on the beach, cheap sunglasses, etc….. all of the things cruisers charge into the ports to get at a local mini-mart. Most cruisers don’t shop for high ticket items on vacation, so why use all of the retail space for the few who do??
