Carnival Cruise Line is testing a pizza delivery service that will bring you pizza anywhere on the cruise ship. It is currently being tested on their newest and largest ship, Carnival Horizon.
Ever have a craving for pizza while on a cruise but didn’t want to go wait in line to get some? Carnival Cruise Line will now let you use your phone or tablet to have a pizza delivered to wherever you are on board.
While the pizza is free, there is a $5 delivery charge does that not include tip. To order a pizza, a passenger can use Carnival’s free Hub App to choose the pizza that they want and where on the ship they want the pizza delivered. The pizza can even be delivered to your stateroom.
The pizzas are from the cruise line’s Pizzeria del Capitano which is open 24 hours a day. Hand-tossed dough, made from imported Italian flour, plus fresh mozzarella form a solid base, and a choice of toppings put the finishing touches on this piping hot, fresh-from-the-oven mealtime — or anytime — classic.
We’d love to hear from you. Would you pay $5 plus tip to have a pizza delivered to you while on a cruise? Leave a comment in the comment section below.
I would try the pizza delivery for $5 plus tip. I’ll be on the Freedom February 2019.
No I would not pay $5.00 plus tip for the pizza. The pizza on the ships I been on or no good.
$5.00 plus tip (15%) my guess is a pretty healthy fee for pizza in room. We have experienced Carnival pizza and its not worth the delivery fee. Room service is part of the cruise experience, pizza should be part of the room service menu.
Awesome idea but not paying 5 bucks
Yes I would. The pizza is still free, so 5.00 plus tip is cheaper than delivery at home. And the convenience of delivery is nice. We also use room service while cruising, so adding delivery pizza is a bonus
Yes. The lines are very long at times and this would be very convenient.
