Carnival Cruise Line has removed all of May and some of their June cruises off of their booking engine in an effort to control inventory.
While all Carnival cruises have been canceled through May 11, 2020, the cruise line has closed inventory on select sailings from their booking engine although these cruises are not canceled.
Cruise Fever first noticed the sailings were removed since we are booked on the May 18 sailing on Carnival Valor. You can no longer book a cruise on this sailing but it still shows up in our account.
Carnival Cruise Line removed select sailings from their website due to international travel restrictions and getting their crew back on their ships. The cruise line is taking a conservative approach to filling their cruise ships for May and June so they can maintain a proper crew to guest ratio.
Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador John Heald posted the following comment after someone asked about their booked sailing no longer showing on Carnival’s website:
“As we look to our return to service in May and June, we are carefully managing inventory. We anticipate that certain international travel restrictions will remain. We are taking a conservative approach with regard to getting our crews back to the ships, so we have closed inventory on certain sailings so that we don’t overextend our ability to provide service on board.”
If you are wondering why your booked cruise for May or June no longer shows up when doing a search on Carnival’s website, this is why. The cruises are still scheduled but inventory has been closed on them.
