The pause in bookings on cruises eight nights or longer only applies to sailings that visit or start at a U.S. cruise port. The cruises have not been canceled at this time, they are just not accepting new bookings on them.
The cruise lines sent out the following message regarding sailings eight nights and longer until next November:
“(Insert cruise line name) has reviewed the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Framework for Conditional Sailing and is seeking additional clarification to fully understand the requirements. While we await further information, we have (temporarily) stopped selling all cruises eight days and longer which call upon a U.S. port and depart January 1 through November 1, 2021. For those who are currently booked on one of these cruises, we ask for your patience to receive further information from us on whether your cruise is impacted.”
Carnival’s cruise lines that have sent out this message include Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, and Cunard Line.
