A new mega cruise ship that’s headed to Port Canaveral, MSC World Atlantic, touched water for the first time when the ship was floated out at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
The float-out of MSC World Atlantic marks a significant milestone in the ship’s construction. The vessel will now move to the final stage of construction, the outfitting.
MSC World Atlantic will be the 25th ship in MSC Cruises’ fleet and the cruise line’s fourth World class ship.
This new flagship is designed to blend MSC Cruises’ signature European style with American comfort and will offer alternating 7-night and 14-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
The ship will visit some of the most iconic destinations in the Caribbean and The Bahamas, including the cruise line’s private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
On board, guests will have the chance to experience a seamless blend of cultures, flavors, and styles from both sides of the Atlantic brought together in one thrilling destination at sea, with seven distinct districts, each offering its own atmosphere, facilities and entertainment.
Following the ship’s float-out, MSC World Atlantic will remain at Chantiers de l’Atlantique as work continues on her interiors, public spaces and final technical elements.
MSC World Atlantic will make its debut on November 13, 2027, a seven-night cruises from Port Canaveral that will visit Nassau, Ocean Cay, Cozumel, and Costa Maya.
