A company is shutting down for a week in January so the boss can take all 800 employees on a Caribbean cruise.
Bertch Cabinets, located in Waterloo, Iowa, informed their employees this past week that since the company had reached their goals for the year, they are taking everyone on a cruise to the Caribbean on a Carnival Cruise Line Fun Ship out of Miami, Florida next month.
The company chartered four airplanes to transport all 800 employees to Miami, Florida on January 8 where they will stay in a five star hotel the night before the cruise. On the following day, they will board buses that will take them over to the port for a cruise that stops in Cozumel, Mexico and Key West, Florida.
Bertch Cabinets posted the following message on their Facebook page: “Bertch is excited to announce a company wide vacation! We will be closing all facilities January 9-13 so we can set sails for the sunny Caribbean! This trip wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our incredible Bertch associates! Happy Holidays, everyone!”
This isn’t the first time that the company has sent their employees on a trip for hitting goals. Previously, they have taken trips to Acapulco, Hawaii, and have even done several cruises.
