100 Days Until the Arrival of 2017’s Hottest New Cruise Ship, MSC Seaside

2017’s hottest new cruise ship, MSC Seaside, is set to arrive in Trieste, Italy in less than 100 days before heading to her home in Miami, Florida.  Once at PortMiami, MSC Seaside will sail week long cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.  The ship will arrive in Miami on December 21, 2017.

MSC Cruises describes the vessel as “the ship that follows the sun” and will offer sun worshippers one of the highest ratios of outdoor space at sea. After all, you don’t cruise to stay inside. MSC Seaside will be the first of three Seaside class ships as the cruise line looks to gain market share in the most popular cruise destination in the world, the Caribbean.

MSC Seaside will feature three outdoor catwalks that will extend beyond the edge of the ship.  With a glass floor and glass railings, passengers will have the feeling that they are walking on water. The catwalk on the top deck spans nearly 100 feet with views from the top of the ship; the other two catwalks located on deck eight, are 130 feet in length and are part of a 360° open air promenade, the widest on any ship ever built.

This stunning public space encircles the entire ship with a tempting array of bars and restaurants so that guests can enjoy outdoor dining as well as a day or evening stroll to take in the sea air. Panoramic elevators will transport guests while providing stunning ocean views.

There will be 14 “beach condos”, exclusive aft corner suites that will have the best views on the ship.  A collection of terraced balcony staterooms will allow passengers the option of sitting in the sun or shade on their veranda.

For large families, there will be open modular connected staterooms that will accommodate up to 10 passengers.

No MSC cruise ship is complete without the exclusive MSC Yacht Club.  The Yacht Club on MSC Seaside will be located on the prestigious foredecks offering a vast private solarium, a private lounge and restaurant, and Royal Suites that include a private outdoor whirlpool.

MSC Seaside will also offer MSC for Me, new wearable technology from MSC Cruises that will help create a truly unique cruise experience. Parents will even be able to geo-locate their children on board.

Realizing that entertainment plays an important part in a cruise passenger’s experience, MSC Seaside will have a stunning new theater, comedy club, full sized bowling alley, a 5D cinema, and a wide variety of performances and shows.

The lido deck will have the most interactive aqua park at sea. MSC Seaside will be the first cruise ship to feature interactive Slideboard technology, combining a water slide with an interactive video game.  The two deck aqua park will include an adventure trail and multiple water slides.

Those passengers looking for extra thrills, MSC Seaside will feature the longest zip line at sea where passengers will fly an impressive 425 feet to the aft of the ship.

Since cruising is all about the food, MSC Seaside will offer one of the most extensive choices of indoor and outdoor dining. The ship will have new dining formats with nine restaurants featuring food from all around the world including luxury seafood, international steak house, family pizzeria, and a Pan-Asian restaurant.  The Pan-Asian specialty restaurant is with a partnership with Pan-Asian celebrity chef Roy Yamaguchi.

MSC Seaside will hold 4,140 passengers at double occupancy and come in at 160,000 gross tons.  While the ship will sail three exciting itineraries to the Western and Eastern Caribbean from Miami, the most intriguing port stop will be in the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

Ocean Cay will not only have a pier for the ship to dock at, the 95 acre island will have over two miles of pristine beaches representing the fourth longest beach in the world. The island will have a 2,000 seat amphitheater for live entertainment and music.  Ocean Cay is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2018.

MSC Seaside will debut in December 2017 and voyages are currently available for booking. View Cruises on MSC Seaside
