Have you been afraid to take a cruise because you didn’t want to “waste” your money if you did not like it? Have you sailed on other cruise lines and wanted to try Carnival but were afraid that you wouldn’t like it? Carnival has heard those concerns and is now offering the “Great Vacation Guarantee”.
Carnival Cruise Line is now offering a vacation guarantee that is a cruise industry first. Carnival is so certain that you will enjoy your cruise that they are offering a 110% refund for those who are not happy on their cruise. Seem to good to be true? Here are some basic details on how the “Great Vacation Guarantee” will work.
This now policy applies to any 3-8 night cruise to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, and New England/Canada. If a passenger is not happy with the cruise within the first 24 hours, Carnival will refund the passenger 110% of the cruise fare paid. Carnival will also make arrangements to fly them back to the port of embarkation, or back to your home airport at the next port of call on the cruise free of charge.
For passengers who wish to take advantage of this new policy, they must contact guest services on the ship within the first 24 hours of the cruise. If the ship is in port, the guests would disembark the ship and Carnival will make all arrangements to get them back home. If the ship is at sea, the passengers will disembark at the next port of call.
Carnival will pay for all flights, hotel accommodations (if needed), and ground transportation. Guests would have to pay for any charges they made to their onboard account (drinks, spa, merchandise etc) and for any meals during travel back home. Refunds of the cruise fare will be processed within 3 weeks. 100% of the refund will be refunded to the credit card that was used in booking the cruise. The additional 10% will be paid via a check or as cash through guest services.
If any of these passengers wanted to give Carnival another shot within the next year, Carnival will give the passengers $100 in onboard credit.
This new guarantee applies to Carnival sailings from September 12, 2013 to April 30, 2015. The April 30 end date will be extended as Carnival adds future itineraries. They are currently not selling any sailings past that date.
