Carnival Cruise Line is planning special events on board their cruise ships for the total solar eclipse that will take place on Monday, August 21 at approximately 2 pm EST.
To mark this truly rare and fascinating astronomical event – which is the result of the alignment of the sun, Earth and moon to block sunlight from reaching the Earth – Carnival Cruise Line is offering a number of activities across its fleet, everything from eclipsed-themed viewing and sailaway parties complete with appropriate music, games and more to a Sun Dance Competition with participants vying to “bring out the sun” on deck.
In keeping with the spirit of the eclipse, specials on Blue Moon beer will be available throughout the event.
