Cruise lines are stepping up the competition for the best waterslides at sea. Royal Caribbean has announced that their largest cruise ship to date (and largest in the world), Harmony of the Seas, will have a ten-story waterslide.
Harmony of the Seas will be the first Royal Caribbean cruise ship built with waterslides. Liberty of the Seas will soon have waterslides added when the vessel goes into drydock. Harmony of the Seas will have four waterslides, each one promising to give passengers a thrill at sea.
The Abyss will be a ten-story waterslide that will take passengers from the ship’s AquaTheater to the Boardwalk neighborhood. This will be by far the tallest waterslide at sea.
Along with The Abyss, a trio of multi-story waterslides called The Perfect Storm will be located by the pools. They will be called Cyclone, Monsoon, and Typhoon. The Perfect Storm will cool down guests when cruise the Caribbean as they twist and turn through the slides. Sections of the slides will be clear giving each rider a great view of Central Park below.
Harmony of the Seas is the 3rd Oasis class ship from Royal Caribbean and will be the largest cruise ship in the world when the vessel goes into service in the spring of 2016.
