Royal Caribbean has announced that Majesty of the Seas will stay in their fleet after all and will add a host of upgrades including fast, free internet. This reverses a decision last fall that had the cruise ship leaving Royal Caribbean in 2016.
Majesty of the Seas, which currently sails out of PortMiami, will move to Port Canaveral after leaving drydock in the summer of 2016. While in drydock, the cruise ship will get the following upgrades:
- Waterslides will be added
- Video screen on the lido deck
- Free, unlimited, and fast internet for all passengers
- Dreamworks Experience
- Upgrades to the casino
Along with the upgrades, there will be three new dining experiences added to the ship. They will include the Chef’s Table, Sabor Taqueria (authentic Mexican dishes), and Izumi (Japanese cuisine).
Majesty of the Seas will sail three and four night cruises to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral. The ship will replace Rhapsody of the Seas which was schedule to homeport in Port Canaveral. Rhapsody of the Seas will now more to Tampa, Florida.
