Carnival Corporation has announced that they will be launching a 10th cruise brand called Fathom. Carnival Corporation unveils a new category for purpose-driven travelers. The cruise will leave from Miami, Florida and sail to Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. This 10th cruise brand will be a “social impact” cruise line and begin sailing in April 2016. These seven day day cruises will be on the 710 passenger Adonia. 2:51 – Passengers will meet with a local family, help teach them English, and then learn how to cook a Dominican meal.
2;50 pm – Passengers will be working with Dominicans on education (teaching English), environmental issues (planting trees), farming, and economic impact.
2:40 pm – Passengers will have a 3 day volunteer opportunity while in port. 2:11 pm – Carnival Corp. CEO Arnold Donald takes the stage. Carnival is “making a positive impact” in the countries that the nine cruise lines visit.
